How Mark works

The commitments behind the waiting list.

People do not wait the best part of a year for a decorator by accident. This is the way every job is run — a handful of straightforward promises that come up, in one form or another, in review after review.

One decorator, from quote to finish

The person who visits and quotes your job is the person who prepares it, paints it and finishes it. No subcontracted labour, no rotating faces — which is exactly why the standard is so consistent from the first cut-in to the last.

Honest, detailed advice on products

Before anything goes on the walls, you get clear information on which paints and finishes Mark would use and why — matt for depth on walls, hard-wearing eggshell or satinwood on woodwork — so the finish suits how the room is actually lived in.

Preparation that leaves no mess

Furniture is moved and protected, floors covered, and surfaces filled and sanded properly before a brush is loaded. Clients consistently describe excellent preparation and no mess — because the boring, careful groundwork is where a lasting finish is really made.

On schedule, snags solved as they arise

Work is planned realistically and delivered to schedule — several reviews note jobs completed ahead of it. If a snag appears mid-job, it is flagged and solved there and then, not left for you to chase.

Communication you do not have to chase

One of the most-repeated compliments is simply that Mark communicates well — you are not left waiting weeks for a quote or wondering when he is coming. You will know what is happening and when.

A room left spotless

The job is not finished until the space is cleaned down and left as it should be — spotless, in clients own words, and often tidier than it started. It is a small thing that says everything about the care taken on the rest.

A job, step by step

From first visit to the final coat.

01

A proper look at the job

Mark visits, walks the rooms with you, talks through colours, finishes and the order of work, and gives detailed, plain advice on the products he would use.

02

A place in the diary

You get an honest quote and a realistic date. The diary runs several months ahead, so this is the point to get booked in for the slot you want.

03

Prep done properly

Furniture protected, floors covered, surfaces filled, sanded and prepared. Nothing is painted until it is ready to be painted.

04

Painted, finished, left spotless

The work is completed to a high standard and on schedule, any snags solved as they come up, and the room left clean and finished.
